Editorial policy
Publishing Ethics guidelines for One Health Journal
The editorial policy of One Health Journal follows the requirements of the national and international legislation related to transparency and General Data Protection Regulation.
Personal data
Personal data of the authors will be used solely for the journal purposes and in compliance of General Data Protection Regulation of the European Parliament.
Plagiarism
All submitted manuscripts will be evaluated against plagiarism and those found to consist high percent of already published text or data will be refused for publication.
Conflict of interests
Declaration of Interests (DoI) have to be completed by all members of the editorial board.
The authors are kindly invited to declare (by submitting a DoI) an absence of any possible conflicts of interest with the journal editors at the time of the manuscript submission.
Animal research ethics
Studies performed on experimental animals should be carried out according to internationally recognized guidelines for animal welfare. These should be precisely described in the respective section „Material and Methods“.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to an independent editorial review. Manuscripts are evaluated by two anonymous reviewers.
The acceptance of submitted manuscripts for publication depends strongly on the reviewers’ recommendations.
Publishing of the paper does not reveal that the editors are in agreement with the points of view advocated by the authors.
Reviewers obligations
By accepting a manuscript for peer-review, the reviewers ensure that:
- will review the manuscript objectively and confidentially;
- will evaluate the scientific contribution and compliance of the manuscript with the journal requirements and its relevance to the journal objectives
- will provide clear and objective recommendations for corrections, when applicable;
- will avoid personal and professional criticism toward the author in their feedback and evaluation;
- will not use any data from the article they review for their personal publications or benefits including in the cases when the article has been rejected;
Peer-review procedure
The Peer-review procedure applied by One Health Journal includes the following steps:
- Selection of two reviewers which receive a copy of the manuscript;
- Reviewing the manuscript within 15 days after appointment and preparation of Synopsis of reviewers to be discussed at an Editorial Board meeting;
- Editorial board (EB) decision-approval or rejection for publication;
- The editors inform the leading author about the EB decision and reviewers comments are sent to author for revision of the manuscript.
- Submission of revised manuscript by the authors for а second revision;
- Final decision - accept or reject the manuscript, including justification of the reasons for rejection (e.g. out of journal’s scope; lack of proper structure; poor language quality; poorly presented data, violation of publication ethics etc.).
Before publication, authors are required to sign the Copyright transfer agreement.
